By sensing the requirements of the process, the IVT varies the rpm/torque to match the load on the motor so as to meet any of the industrial speed-torque-load power curves (as illustrated by the heavy black lines) within the maximum output torque limit of the SM-15 IVT. The Sm-15 IVT can produce any desired torque-speed combination in the shaded area up to the output torque limit line.
